Here are two wall hangings I made, the top one is on a clipboard that I painted beige
and added material, batting and muslin for the build up of other layers of fabric and different types of lace.  I then added a picture of a woman, some pearls and the word dream stamped on muslin and glued on

This one is hung on a Melissa Frances hanger with batting and felt as a background, muslin and lace, a picture of a woman, lace and beaded appliques and lace cording for a binder

I just finished making a rusty steampunk sewing machine out of a plain mini white one. I glued on many sewing related items such as bobbins, thread, spools of ribbon,
Pins, a thimble, buttons, mini scissors, and much more.
I then painted everything with finnabairs rust paints for this effect I finished it off  by adhearing a piece of measuring tape that I dyed in the front. On bobbin actually has thread going through the threader. Any comments would be appreciated

ALPHA STAMPS GUEST DESIGNER PROJECT

I have just submitted my Guest Design Project to Alpha Stamps.  Fingers crossed.  The pictures are hard to do as I take them with my phone camera.  Here are some of the pictures I submitted.  The theme is Steampunk Mermaids Under The Sea/

Hopefully they will like them and I will be accepted to their site and will be asked to do work for them again.  I really enjoyed making this, even though it was difficult and it was a challenge, it was loads of fun.  I put all my work on my blog, and facebook but mostly I try to submit as much as I can to get published into several different magazines

Wow, I just found out that I will be published again in Bella Crafts Magazine.  It is a free online
magazine so everyone can see it.  One of my collages Time 4 Tea will be in the reader's spotlight
this coming Fall.  I am so excited.

I am over the moon excited.   My turn has come up to be the guest designer on the Alpha Stamps site
I am going to do a Steampunk Mermaid shadowbox.  I hope I can keep my end up on this challenge.  Then even more exciting is that a woman name Sonia saw my work and messaged me and said she thought my work was awesome and would love to have me on her Design Team Making Memories Crafting, I was so excited I accepted the offer.  To be even more excited, a friend of hers, Nicola, is starting her own Design Team and Sonia told her about my work, she saw it and was very pleased so she asked if I would join hers as well.  It is entitled Day Dream Challenges.   I can't believe I will be a guest designer for Alpha Stamps, one of my favorite sites and on two Design Teams.  Everyone is lovely and very helpful.  The best thing is that I don't have to do any videos, which I am not experienced at doing.  So this should be a fun journey for me.

I hope I can stand up to these challenges, It will keep me very busy and I am looking forward to it.

I am very excited to start this new adventure.  I am deciding what to make as the rules
are that I can make anything I want or I can pick one of their digital stamps and use
that.  We will see!!!

Sunday, was a great day.  I had my art sisters over and we all made a Tim Holtz inspired collage.
Mine was a Steampunk theme
Our four year anniversary is coming up. I made my hubby a wooden wine box.  I painted it with
Liquitex Brown Sable paint and went over it with Prima's Art Alchemy powder.  Then I went over
the edges with a black Caran D'Ache marker.
I put our wedding picture in the middle and put stickers on it that say PERRI. FOUR YEARS
On the inside I painted it and put the powder then put F&J. TRUE LOVE.
I will put a bottle of champagne in it.  I also ordered a NY Times Newspaper from that day and had all
our Wedding Day information put on it.

I signed up right away and it starts March 1st.  Can't wait

In the meantime, Izzy, Theresa and I made collages, each of us did a little different one but we pooled our supplies together and here is how mine came out.  I am very happy with it and it is now hung up on my wall.

Vintage Circus Train

Well I didn't win the Crafty's award but I was a nominee.  The ceremony was held at
Baruch College in Manhattan and they even had Lisa Loeb there as a guest.  My train
was shown on the big screen and we got a shot of it from home.  It was exciting to watch
the winners from home since I couldn't be there in person.

Well here it is 2017 and I have been pretty busy making a journal and altering books.  None are finished as yet but as soon as they are, they will be on my blog.

I have been taking drawing classes but they have been very difficult as the teacher had us drawing upside down!!  I plan on taking more pastel classes in the near future.  Landscapes are my favorite

Next week some friends and I will be making an altered canvas of a lady and I am looking forward to that as the final product looks awesome.  That will be another addition to the blog when it is finished

Some GREAT news, I was asked by ALPHA STAMPS to be in a pool of guest designers
as they had seen my blog and liked my work.  This is very exciting for me and I can't
wait to get started.

So things are progressing and as they do, I will keep adding to my blog
